about clint
Clint Deverson has again produced imaginative stunning images, works
mainly in black, white and grey, silkscreen prints, linocuts and
paintings on canvas.
Clint has a unique way of looking at the world,
revealing a remarkable way of organising precise detailed visual
information and he often
incorporates various perspective viewpoints, within the one work.
His most recent body of work, at the Megalo Gallery, demonstrates
Clint's ability to include lines and patterns to convey his latest
interest;
a combination of the architectural icons of Canberra with his
continuing love for the dog.
Clint has won the Tuggeranong Rotary
Youth Arts Award twice, once in 2000 and again in 2001. Clints
latest win was in November 2004 when his work was the winning entry
in the City Heart Arts Prize. Clint regularly exhibits and has work
in many collections.
quotes
"Deverson's relief and screenprints are well known around Canberra, as is his distinctive style. At the start of the program he had just returned from a holiday in Europe, and was encouraged by Slater to use this experience in his artwork, characterised by a bold graphic drawing style."
